Nearing the Solstice

And tonight we witnessed a gorgeous rise to the solstice moon....Full and gliding low in the sky all night, so it remains large to our eyes and lights up the little amount of darkness that we have at this time of year. It's good to be reminded of balance and counter-balance, and that even when things are not tangibly equal in our lives, they are being balanced still....the larger picture of our situation may just be slightly beyond our perspective.

I wish you all abundance of joy and love!
But should your world feel more like the balance is tipping the other way right now, think on the words of Kahlil Gibran, 'sorrow is like carving a wooden bowl....the more sorrow you have in life, the bigger the bowl you'll have to hold your joy in.'

Beautiful. A message I needed to hear tonight.
